Blush Dreams, Part 1

So, I got married!! Now, don’t be go searching my old posts thinking you missed something. You didn’t!  I did not post this on any of my other blog posts. Honestly, I have been with my now wife (love typing that) for 10 years. I officially came out to family and close friends 2 years ago. This has been a very scary but needed transition. What developed was a beautiful union of 2 souls on October 21st and some fye ass fashion!

I decided I would do a 3 part Fashion/ DIY blog series, to share my fashion choices and DIY Creations for our wedding. The first part will be on the engagement shoot/ color scheme, diy  for the wedding ,and the wedding dress.

When we (I) first decided that we were going to get married, it was important for me that we created an environment that was less about tradition and more about how we wanted her wedding to be a representative of us. My wife pretty much was hands off and allowed me to run lead on this.

Delving deep into Pinterest, the one theme that I kept coming back to was blush. I wanted our wedding to have a rose gold/blush to it.

Fast forward to our engagement pictures. If you know, you know I am a bargain hunter when it comes to clothes but I found THE dress. It was my usual thrift store find for $10 but I knew this is what I wanted and I saw in my mind how the dress would be the wow factor for the engagement shoot and it was. Below are few pictures from the shoot.
