The Board

Heyyyyyy!!!

For the past year, I have been listening to podcasts on my daily commutes and while getting ready in the morning. They have been helping me getting my life together, which include upping my mental/emotional game and my petty game. My favorite ones are The Read and Gettin’ Grown. They are available on Itunes, Spotify, and SoundCloud and I am sure many other forums.

During one of the most recent podcasts on Getting’ Grown, Keia talked about creating your Personal Board of Directors. These last few months, I’ve felt a shift. A shift to become more of my own boss and to make my path. That very thought gives me great joy but it also scares the hell out of me. I also know that I have a vision inside that, if it doesn’t come to fruition, will be one of my life’s regrets.

Your board of directors should include these different persons:

Accountability Master– a person who will hold your feet to the fire on goals you aspire to achieve.

Motivator: A person who will keep you focused and enthusiastic about your career game plan.

Strategist: A person / visionary that can help you map out the big picture.

Connector: A person who will help you enhance and develop your network.

Specialist: This person can be anyone, from an accountant or a lawyer to your personal trainer or physician.

I have a few people in mind that could feel these roles but others I will truly need to seek out. As I look towards 2018, It is important to have a solid foundation to build upon.

Do you have your personal board of directors? Is this your season to build?

Until Next Time,

Danielle
