Bestie Day Feat. StyleMavens

I am a big believer in celebrating my loved ones, especially the ones who have celebrated me. Since moving to Birmingham, I am back in the same city as my best friend. It has been about 5 years since we had the pleasure to actually see each other more than once a month.  We decided to start implementing Bestie Days. We originally got tickets to go to The Color Purple that was playing at the local theatre but another opportunity came and we couldn’t pass it up.

I saw a flyer on Facebook by Style Mavens (Instagram: Stylemavens)  to nominate a deserving woman for the chance to get a Valentine’s Makeover. I instantly thought of Renee. She does so much for her husband and boys (she has 4!!) that she constantly puts herself on the back burner. I get on her, a lot, that she has to make time to do stuff for herself. This would be a great chance to focus on herself fully. She won!! After the shock wore off, she was excited. Below are some pictures from the event. It was such a fun experience.
